Definition of terms as used in this document a. Non-Commercial - Any project which does not have a substantial goal of generating income in the form of legal currency, either directly or indirectly, and is available freely to the general public. b. Composition - The structural and / or lyrical components that give identity to a song. c. Master Recording - A performance or interpretation of a composition in the form of a physical, tangible medium. d. Master Use Rights- This is the right to synchronize the master recording with a visual medium, such as film, video game, or advertisement. e. Synchronization Rights - This is the right to synchronize a composition with a visual medium, such as film, video game, or advertisement. f. Non-Exclusive Right - Any right that may be granted by a copyright holder to multiple parties. g. Moral Rights - A right retained by the copyright holder to deny a usage right to a licensee based on moral conviction. h. License - A document issued by the copyright holder that grants specified rights to a licensee in exchange for some benefit, usually money. i. Licensee - The person that purchased this license. j. Media - Any single project that combines audio and visual elements. This may include, but is not limited to, film, video game, web site, advertisement, released on any platform. k. Copyright holder - The person that owns the master recording and / or composition, the person that has the legal ability to grant usage rights. 2. Rights Granted by this License a. This license grants non-exclusive synchronization rights and non-exclusive master use rights to the licensee for synchronization in non-commercial media projects only. b. These rights are granted when the requested license payment is made in the full amount to the copyright holder. c. The copyright holder asks for credit for his work. Credit may be established by a mention of the author's name as the creator of the work somewhere in the project. d. These rights are granted for one non-commercial media project only. This media project may be copied, duplicated, and distributed freely on any platform and in any territory, however the licensee will require additional licensing to use the master recording and / or composition in other media projects. e. These rights are limited to the audio track(s) that the license was purchased for. f. The copyright holder maintains the moral rights to revoke usage rights based on moral conviction.
